ABOUT LIM CHIN SIONG
Leftist Singaporean politician who co-founded the People's Action Party in 1954, and was jailed for leading violent riots.
He was expelled from school for his activities with the Anti-British League.
He was a trade union leader and often led labor protests.
He went into exile in London with his family upon being released from prison but returned to Singapore in 1979.
He and Lee Kuan Yew founded the People's Action Party.
