Guitarist for the rap and metal band Limp Bizkit who sings lead vocals with the industrial group Black Light Burns. The band's song "Break Stuff" has accumulated more than 400 million streams on Spotify. In 2021, he released his sixth album with the band titled Still Sucks.

He got his first guitar at the age of twelve but originally wanted to play the drums.

He was listed as #37 on Total Guitar's Top 100 Guitarists of All Time list. He posts musical promotions and life updates on his popular thewesborland Instagram page, which has amassed over 390,000 followers.

He married his long-time girlfriend Heather McMillen in 1998, then married his second wife, Anna Borland, in 2009. They divorced in 2013 and he married Carre Callaway in 2016. He got engaged to Alie Jo Kvitek in November 2020.

He and Fred Durst were both in Limp Bizkit.
