ABOUT LINNIE MARSH WOLFE
A Michigan-born librarian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, she is best known for her 1945 biography of naturalist John Muir.
After receiving her bachelor's degree from Whitman College and her master's degree from Radcliffe College, she graduated from the University of Southern California's library school.
She died before she could receive her Pulitzer Prize.
She married Roy Wolfe in 1924. She was born in Michigan, and she later taught in California and worked as a librarian in Washington.
Her biography of John Muir won her the Pulitzer Prize in 1946.
