ABOUT LOUIS MCCARTNEY

Television and film actor who is best known for his role as Shay in the crime-drama series Hope Street. He has also gained popularity from his roles in the award-winning TV series Game of Thrones , Silent Roar, and William of Orangedale. In 2024, he was cast to star in the Netflix action series The Tourist.

He is a graduate of the Bow Street Academy in Dublin, Ireland. He eventually began his professional acting career in 2019.

Besides acting, he also has a passion for skateboarding. During his free time, he also loves to go surfing.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Belfast, Ireland. He is the son of screenwriter Michael McCartney. His mother is a holistic therapist. He has an older brother who works as an ocean explorationist.

He co-starred alongside Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke in the action-drama series Game of Thrones.
