Colombian musician, songwriter, and actor. He is known for albums including Me tomas y me dejas, El regreso del alambrado, and Basta con licor. In 2019. he made his debut as an actor in the film El rey del sapo.

He began his career as a singer in the 1980s.

In 2019, he was given an award by the Congress of Colombia in recognition of 40 years of contributing to the arts.

He has 17 children.

He credits Ecuadorian singer Julio Jaramillo as being one of his early influences.
