Luka Modric
ABOUT LUKA MODRIC
Midfielder who joined Real Madrid in 2012 after spending four seasons with Tottenham Hotspur . He won the prestigious Ballon d'Or in 2018. He became a member of the Croatian national team in 2006 and won the Golden Ball at the 2018 World Cup while helping lead Croatia to the final game of the tournament.
He began his youth career playing for Zadar in 1996, and his senior career began in 2003 with Dinamo Zagreb.
He was named Bosnian Premier League Player of the Year in 2003.
His father Stipe was a soldier in the Croatian army. He has children named Ema, Sofia and Ivano Modrić .
He became teammates with star goalkeeper Iker Casillas on Real Madrid.
