ABOUT LUKE CAMPBELL

English batamweight boxer who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics as an amateur boxer. He turned professional in 2013. He has won 20 fights throughout his professional career. In 2025, he turned to politics, becoming mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire.

He began boxing with his brother at age 13.

He also won the silver medal at the 2011 World Amateur Championships and a gold medal at the 2008 European Amateur Championships. In January of 2021, he lost a fight by knockout.

He comes from a boxing family, with his grandfather having been an Irish boxing champion. He has three sons with his wife Lynsey Kraanen.

He competed in the 2013 season of Dancing on Ice with singer Shayne Ward .
