ABOUT LYLE MENENDEZ

Widely known for being convicted with his brother Erik for the 1989 double murder of his parents. He was convicted in 1996 following a court case that, because of its Court TV broadcasting, became one of the most infamous crime stories of the 1990s in the US.

He studied at Princeton University for a year. He was suspended for a year after being accused of academic dishonesty.

Footage from his court case was used in the 1994 film Natural Born Killers . In 2017, Lifetime released the docudrama Menendez: Blood Brothers based upon his life and murders.

He married Rebecca Sneed in 2003 in a jailhouse ceremony at Mule Creek State Prison.

He was interviewed from jail by Chris Cuomo at the end of the "The Menéndez Brothers: Murder in Beverly Hills" episode of HLN's How It Really Happened in 2017.
