Mamiko Tanaka

ABOUT MAMIKO TANAKA

Professional basketball player known for playing for the Fujitsu Red Wave in Japan from 2019 until 2023 and for being married to Shohei Ohtani. She also represented Japan in two Asia championships and the world championships between 2011 and 2014.

She played basketball for both Waseda University and Seitoku University.

She is 5 foot, 11 inches tall. Her final game for the Fujitsu Red Wave was against the Eneos Sunflowers. She retired after her team lost.

She was born and raised in Japan. She married Shohei Ohtani in 2023.

She appeared in a photo alongside her husband and his teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto .
