ABOUT MANUEL BENSON

Professional right winger that signed his first club contract with the Belgium-based club K. Lierse S.K. as a teenager in 2014. Since then, he has played soccer professionally in leagues across Belgium, England, and the Netherlands. In August 2022, he signed a multi-year deal with the Burnley Football Club.

He initially began his youth soccer career with K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen. He also played within the R.S.C. Anderlecht and K. Lierse S.K. youth ranks.

He made his official club debut with K. Lierse while playing against KV Oostende on April 19, 2014. Unfortunately, he and his teammates lost the match 2-0.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Lokeren, Belgium. He is of Belgian and Angolan descent.

He played alongside Jack Cork as a member of Burnley F.C. during the 2022-23 club season.
