ABOUT MANUEL NERI
Sculptor and painter associated with the Bay Area Figurative movement. He created life-sized sculptures inspired by nature.
He studied art at the California College of Arts and Crafts.
He was selected to receive the International Sculpture Center's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.
He had three children with his previous wife Joan Brown , who was also a painter.
He was a fan of Paul Cezanne .
