Wife of Carl's Jr. restaurant founder Carl Karcher . Carl's Jr., a business that she helped establish, grew to be one of the ten most popular fast-food chains in America.
She and Karcher began their first business venture, a tamale and hot dog stand with only a little over three hundred dollars.
She served on the board of directors of Carl Karcher Enterprises.
She was married for sixty-six years, and she raised twelve children. She and Carl Karcher also had fifty-one grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
In 1945, she and Carl Karcher opened a Southern California restaurant called Carl's Drive-In Barbecue.
