ABOUT MARIO ANCIC

Former Croatian tennis pro and Olympic bronze medalist who was named World No. 7 in singles on July 10, 2006.

He was a law student at the University of Split.

He became known as a very devout Catholic.

His older brother, Ivica, and younger sister, Sanja, also became tennis players.

In 2002, when he was only a teenager, he defeated Roger Federer in the Wimbledon Championships.
