Her election was controversial due to past social media posts supporting the QAnon conspiracy theory and the use of inflammatory rhetoric. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in 1996.

Following the 2020 General Election, she contested the results of President Joe Biden 's victory. She founded the CrossFit gym CrossFit Passion in 2013.

Her husband's name is Perry. They have three children named Lauren, Taylor, and Derek.

She was a staunch supporter of then-president Donald Trump throughout his tenure as president.
