ABOUT MARTIN HEIDEGGER
Author of the philosophical work Being and Time. His work on the question of Being was deeply influential in modern philosophical thinking.
He studied philosophy and theology at the University of Freiburg.
He became rector of the University of Freiburg in 1933. It is said that he was a sympathizer with the Nazis.
He married Elfride Petri in 1917, and they had a son, Jorg, in 1919.
His students included Hannah Arendt .
