Third wife of L. Ron Hubbard who was heavily involved in expanding the Church of Scientology.

She started out as a student at L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetic Foundation, and soon entered into an affair with him.

She helped her husband come up with the term Scientology.

She led Scientology's battle against the U.S. government, which led to her arrest and imprisonment.

The religion she helped start has claimed many famous followers, including Isaac Hayes and Tom Cruise .
