British Conservative Party politician who began serving in Parliament for Brentford and Isleworth in 2010. She had previously served as a policy adviser to Elizabeth II and the Royal Household.
She attended the University of Glasgow and worked in consulting for twenty years before entering politics.
She was a major supported of the Equality Bill in the House of Commons, which aimed to male only primogeniture in the inheritance of titles.
She was born in London, England to a Scottish family, but relocated to Chiswick as an adult.
She was elected to Parliament during the tenure of David Cameron as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
