ABOUT MARY MéNDEZ

TV host best known as a correspondent for Caracol TV's entertainment news show La Red. She's also a fitness influencer and runs an Instagram handle called FitCook that features various healthy recipes.

She lived in Miami and ran several clothing boutiques.

Before her work on La Red, she hosted Francotiradores (Snipers) and earned the nickname the Pantera of Santa Marta.

She always knew she wanted to pursue a career in television, but her mother insisted Mendez get some kind of degree first.

She's worked with fellow correspondent Carlos Vargas Vargas on La Red.
