
Mason Greenwood
ABOUT MASON GREENWOOD
Striker who has risen to notoriety for his play in the Manchester United youth system, including in an FA Youth Cup victory over Chelsea in 2018 with a hat trick. He earned his first professional call-up at age 17 against Valencia that same year. In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and again a few days later for sexual assault and threats to kill. Greenwood has not trained with or appeared for Manchester United or England since. The charges were dropped in February 2023, and he joined French club Marseille in July 2024.
He made his splash throughout 2018 at the U-17, U-19, and U-23 levels for Manchester United's youth academy.
He scored 22 goals in 19 games in 2018 for Manchester United's youth system.
He was originally born and raised in Yorkshire, England with his sister Ashton. He welcomed his first child with his girlfriend in July 2023.
His 2018 play for Manchester United's youth squads was lauded by the senior squad manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer .
