ABOUT MATT BLASHAW

Licensed contractor who became known as a host for HGTV and DIY network for shows such as Yardcrashers, Money Hunters and Project Xtreme. He specializes in remodeling homes and has also been a licensed relator for Century 21 and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

He built musical theatre productions in high school and later pursued a degree in film and television production from Chapman University.

He was runner-up on the television contest for DIY Network's Stud Finder in 2006.

He grew up in Orange County, California, as the son of an engineer and a home builder. He began building things from a young age with his dad.

He's a reoccurring guest on CBS' The Early Show hosted by Jane Pauley .
