Podcaster, actor, and comedian known for his work on Drunk History, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, and Superego. He has gained over 90,000 followers to his mattgourley Instagram account where he promotes his work and shares pictures of his friends and family.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Technical Theater and his Master's Degree in Performance from California State University, Long Beach . He had his television debut in 1996 when he played himself in the TV comedy series Kwik Witz. He began working on podcasts in 2006 when he landed the roles of Dr. Matt Gourley and PyT on the sketch comedy podcast Superego.

He has a cat named Margaux.

He married Amanda Lund in 2017. They have a daughter.

In an October 2023 Instagram post, he shared a picture of him and his daughter at Disneyland .
