ABOUT MATT NELSON

NFL offensive lineman that was first signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He previously played college football at the University of Iowa . While at Iowa, he was a four-time member of the All-Big Ten Academic Team.

He was a two-sport athlete while at Xavier Private High School. In addition to football, he also played basketball in high school.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the Chicago Bears during week one of the 2020 regular season. Unfortunately, he lost his NFL debut by a score of 27-23.

He grew up living with his parents in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He played alongside Jared Goff as a member of the Lions during the 2022 NFL season.
