ABOUT MATTHEW CORBETT

English television personality who has hosted the television show The Sooty Show and Sooty and Co.

He worked as an actor in an early television role for the show, Doctor Who in 1971.

He was born with the name Peter Corbett, but due to there being another person registered with the same name at a drama school, he changed it to Matthew.

He has been married to his wife, Sallie with whom he has lived in Lymm, Cheshire.

He picked Richard Cadell to replace him on The Sooty Show after he retired in 1998.
