ABOUT MATTHEW HILL

Republican politician and Evangelical Methodist radio talk show host who served as a Tennessee State Representative. Business Tennessee Magazine has called him an intense political conservative.

He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Mass Communication.

He became associated with the Conservative Tea Party group within the Republican Party and was also one of a number of Birthers -- Republicans who wanted proof that President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

He married Amanda Nadine Jenkins in 2003 and became the father to two children: Caleb and Abigail Hill.

Matthew Hill's brother, Timothy Aaron Hill, worked as U.S. Representative David Davis ' press secretary.
