ABOUT MATTHEW WRIGHT

Versatile shooting guard who has gained fame for his international club career, including for the Phoenix Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was named the PBA all-star MVP in 2017 and 2018, and to the all-rookie team in 2017.

He played college basketball for St. Bonaventure University between 2010-2014. He made his professional debut for French squad Quimper in 2014.

He won the ASEAN Basketball League Championship in 2015-2016 with the Westports Malaysia Dragons. He was named the league heritage import MVP that season.

He is of Filipino and Canadian descent.

He and Calvin Abueva have played as teammates for the Phoenix Fuel Masters of the PBA.
