ABOUT MAXIM STAVISKI
Ice dancer from Russia most famous for his highly-successful partnership with Albena Denkova . Together, they won two World Figure Skating Championships and one Grand Prix Final.
He began skating at age four and was a singles skater until he became a teenager.
He was involved for a 2007 car accident which left 24-year-old Petar Petrov dead. He was intoxicated beyond the legal limit at the time of the accident.
He got engaged to ice dancing partner Albena Denkova . Their son, Daniel, was born in January 2011.
He and Christopher Dean have both been World Figure Skating Champions.
