ABOUT MAYRA PELAYO

Professional attacking midfielder and athlete that first began her club soccer career with C.D. Parquesol in the year 2019. After two seasons, she then joined Club América during the 2021 season. She later signed a multi-year deal with Club Tijuana in January of 2023.

She won two Florida state titles while at American Heritage High School. She later began playing college soccer at the University of Florida .

As a member of the Mexican women's national team, she helped her squad defeat Team USA during the 2024 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup. By doing so, she helped Team Mexico achieve their second ever victory over the United States in club history.

Although she was born in California, she grew up living with her family in West Palm Beach, Florida.

She is a former Florida collegiate athlete just like Pete Alonso and Kyle Tucker .
