Michael Anderson

ABOUT MICHAEL ANDERSON

Director of the 1976 sci-fi film Logan's Run and 1956 epic Around the World in 80 Days, the latter of which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director.

He served in the British military during World War II.

He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Directors Guild of Canada in 2012.

He married Adrienne Ellis in 1977. His son Michael Anderson, Jr. made a career as an actor and appeared in Logan's Run. He has another son named David who's a film producer.

He directed David Niven in Around the World in 80 Days.
