Co-host of CNN's Crossfire and Editor of the Year while working at Slate.

He was vice president of Harvard University's daily newspaper The Harvard Crimson.

He announced in 2002 that he had Parkinson's disease and underwent a deep brain stimulation surgery in 2006 to treat the disease.

He married Patty Stonesifer in 2002.

He began hosting Crossfire with Pat Buchanan in 1989.
