ABOUT MICHAEL IMANU MCGEE JR.

Alderman on the Milwaukee Wisconsin Common Council who famously ran for re-election from jail and nearly won. A series of suspicious and illegal activities led to his arrest and trial in 2007, and from jail he won 42% of the city's votes in the 2008 general election.

He was originally elected to office of alderman in the Sixth District in 2004.

In 2006 a recall petition was started against McGee, but it failed due to evidence of "widespread fraud".

He served as alderman for the city of Milwaukee at the same time as his father in a different district, becoming the first father and son duo to serve on the council at the same time.

He is often associated with politicians like Edwin Edwards and Richard Nixon .
