As one of Britain's most popular TV presenters, he appeared on ITV's Saturday morning Ministry of Mayhem show and covered television and movies.

He was a team captain in the first kids special of the Crystal Maze competition show and appeared in consideration to take over hosting for the children's TV program Blue Peter.

A self-described geek, he started a movie blog in 2011 and reviewed the latest gadgets for several publications and hosted BAFTA's Game of the Year Award.

He married Angellica Bell , whom he competed with on the All Star Mr and Mrs reality show.

He appeared on the Dancing on Ice competition show as did the soap star Shona McGarty .
