English film and television director of Argentine origin, and former storyboard artist. He directed several episodes of Game of Thrones . He won the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards and Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing - Drama Series at the 69th Directors Guild of America Awards.
He started out as a storyboard artist, working on Danny Boyle 's Trainspotting and The Winter Guest, Alan Rickman 's directorial debut. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2010 with Repo Men, starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker .
He is credited with coming up with the idea of having three different types of dragons on House of the Dragon .
He was born Miguel Vicente Rosenberg-Sapochnik in London, England. He has been married to actress and House of the Dragon producer Alexis Raben since 2006.
He directed Tom Hanks and Caleb Landry Jones in the 2021 sci-fi drama Finch.
