ABOUT MIKA SALO

Finnish former professional racing driver who was known for competing in Formula One between 1994 and 2002. He won the GT2 class in the 2008 and 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans. His Instagram account mikasaloofficial has gained over 500,000 followers.

In 1989, he competed in the British Formula 3 Championship, racing for Alan Docking Racing.

He began hosting the Finnish television show, Test Drive by Mika Salo in 2011. He spent a handful of years of his career racing in Japan. Over the course of his career, he competed in over 100 races. Some of his best years as a racer came in 1988.

His parents are Seppo Salo and Tarja Salo. He has a brother named Tomi. In 1999, he married Noriko Salo. They have two children, Max and Mai Salo.

In 2013, he was featured in the Discovery channel's television program called Driven to Extremes along with actors Tom Hardy and Adrien Brody .
