American singer named Mikaela Straus who is best known by the pseudonym King Princess. She is known for songs like "1950" and "Talia."

Her debut single "1950" was inspired by one of her favorite books, Patricia Highsmith 's The Price of Salt.

She attended the University of Southern California , and did a year in the pop program before quitting to focus full-time on her own music.

She posted a photo of her mother to her Instagram account in May 2017. Her father had a studio called Mission Sound. She has dated Amandla Stenberg . Since early 2019, she had been dating Quinn Wilson , the creative director of musician Lizzo . They split in Fall 2023.

She was the first person signed to music producer Mark Ronson 's record label Zelig Records.
