He and COO Ari Paunonen founded Monstercat in July of 2011 as a YouTube channel.

Some of Monstercat's featured artists include Krewella, Tristam , and Grabbitz . The Monstercat YouTube channel has more than 7 million subscribers.

He is from Vancouver, Canada and is based in Los Angeles, California. He posted his significant other on his Instagram in July 2020. He has a pet dog.

He and Tinchy Stryder are both founders of independent record labels.
