ABOUT MIKEY EDWARD WELSH
Bassist best known for his time playing with the rock band Weezer . He played with the front man Rivers Cuomo for a time when the band was on hiatus. In 2001, he left the band to pursue his own artistic endeavors.
Before joining Weezer, he toured as a bassist with many different bands, including Verbena.
He suffered major mental health issues while playing with Weezer, which eventually became one of his reasons for leaving the band.
When coming back from his final tour with Weezer, his parents had helped him get in touch with a psychiatrist.
He replaced bassist Matt Sharp when he joined Weezer. He was later replaced by Scott Shriner .
