Multi-hyphenate filmmaker and producer who has served as the Chief Creative Officer of her and Pharrell Williams 's company i am OTHER. She has also overseen film and television endeavors for Mahershala Ali 's production company Know Wonder. In 2017, she executive produced the Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated film Hidden Figures. She has also produced the 2015 indie film Dope and the Prime Video sitcom Harlem.

She formerly served as Editor in Chief of Vibe and Latina Magazines. She made her producing debut on the 2002 television series Weekend Vibe.

In 2020, she and her production team won the Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program for HBO's We Are the Dream: The Kids of the Oakland MLK Oratorical Fest.

Her husband, Brooklyn-based rapper Kaseem Ryan, a.k.a. Ka, tragically passed away at the age of 52 in October 2024.

She produced the 2021 sport comedy film North Hollywood, which starred Ryder McLaughlin , Miranda Cosgrove , and Vince Vaughn .
