ABOUT MIRANDA MAVERICK

American mixed martial artist known for competing in the Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She competed in the Flyweight division of the Invicta Fighting Championships.

She joined her high school wrestling team at Buffalo High School. She graduated with honors from Drury University, majoring in psychology and sociology in 2018. She relocated to Norfolk, VA to pursue a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Old Dominion University .

As of April 11, 2023, she is #15 in the UFC women's flyweight rankings. She has accumulated over 90,000 followers on Instagram as a result of her fighting fame.

She is the daughter of Cordell Maverick and Debbie Maverick.

She started grappling when she was sixteen after being encouraged by her father while watching Ronda Rousey fight on television.
