South African politician who became the leader of his country's opposition Democratic Alliance in 2015. He was named the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of South Africa in 2014.

He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of South Africa.

He ran as the Democratic Alliance's mayoral candidate for Johannesburg in 2011.

He married his wife Natalie in 2005. They have a daughter named Kgalaletso and a son named Kgosi. His parents' names are Ethel and Simon.

He was a prominent political figure during the administration of South African President Jacob Zuma .
