She attended Duquesne University on full academic scholarship but after a few semesters decided to pursue her true passion: music.

Between her reality career, she has managed her husband's real estate investment company and written for her blog Not for Lazy Moms.

She met former Pro-Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels in Washington, D.C. The couple would later marry and have a son named Christopher and a daughter named Milani. in 2018, they welcomed their third child.
