ABOUT NAH’SHON HYLAND
Professional basketball player that was drafted 26th overall by the Denver Nuggets during the 2021 NBA Draft. Following his sophomore year at Virginia Commonwealth University , he was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, averaging 19.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
He attended St. Georges Technical High School, where he was a four-star recruit.
He made school history at VCU as the university's first first-round draft pick in over a decade.
He grew up in Delaware with with his mother, Marshay Hyland, and his older brother Tyree. During his junior year of high school, his 11-month-old cousin and grandmother died in a house fire. He escaped the fire by jumping from his second-floor bedroom. As a result of the jump, he tore a patellar tendon. He is also known as Bones Hyland.
He was drafted by the Nuggets' organization, just like Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic .
