Najat Vallaud-Belkacem

ABOUT NAJAT VALLAUD-BELKACEM

French socialist politician who became her country's first female Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research in 2014. She has also worked as the Minister of Women's Affairs, Minister of City Affairs and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.

She graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies in 2002.

She was named the CEO of the Global Affairs division of research and polling firm Ipsos in 2018.

Her father is a construction worker. She married her husband Boris, a politician, in 2005. They have a daughter named Nour-Chloé and a son named Louis-Adel.

She was a spokesperson for Segolene Royal 's campaign during the 2007 French presidential election.
