ABOUT NATALIA YANCHAK
Canadian keyboardist best known as a member of the critically-acclaimed indie rock band The Dears. She and the band have found success with albums like 2006's Gang of Losers and 2011's Degeneration Street, both of which were considered for the Polaris Prize.
She studied Creative Writing at Concordia University and joined The Deras in 1998.
She is a writer of speculative science-fiction and has been known to write about the genre on her self-titled blog.
She married The Dears frontman Murray Lightburn in 2005. She has children with Lightburn named Neptune and Apollo.
She and The Dears have toured as an opening act for Morrissey .
