ABOUT NATE NEWTON

Bassist who began performing with the seminal American metalcore band Converge in 1999. He has also been a member of bands like Doomriders, Cavalera Conspiracy and Old Man Gloom, the latter of which features him on guitar and vocals.

He was a member of the band Jesuit before replacing Stephen Brodsky as the bassist for Converge.

He has made numerous guest appearances on records from other bands, including Rise and Fall's Our Circle is Vicious (2009) and Full of Hell's Trumpeting Ecstasy (2017).

He has been married and has a daughter.

He has shared the stage with vocalist Jacob Bannon as a member of Converge.
