ABOUT NED LAMONT
American businessman and politician who served as the 89th governor of Connecticut beginning in 2019. His political career began in 1987 when he was elected as a selectman in Greenwich. In addition to his various political roles, he has been a teacher and professor of business and political science at a variety of institutions.
He attended Harvard University before earning an MBA from Yale University School of Management.
He has been a member of the Democratic Party.
His father was an economist, and his mother worked as a staffer for senator Estes Kefauver . He has two sisters. He married Ann Huntress in 1983 and the couple had three children.
He was the state co-chair for Connecticut during Barack Obama 's 2008 political campaign.
