ABOUT NICK EMERY

Sharpshooting guard who set several freshman records at Brigham Young University , including points in a game and three-pointers in a season.

After being named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Utah as a senior in 2013, he went on a two-year Mormon mission before attending BYU.

For his efforts in his freshman year, he was named to the All-West Coast Conference second-team and All-WCC Freshman team. He was second on the team in scoring with more than 16 points per game. He also served a one-game suspension his freshman year for punching Utah's Brandon Taylor during a game in December.

Born to Derek and Patti Emery, he grew up with three siblings. His brother, Jackson, holds the BYU career record for steals.

He and Kyle Collinsworth , along with Chase Fischer, were BYU's top scorers for the 2015-2016 season.
