ABOUT NICKEIL ALEXANDER-WALKER

Canadian professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard and a point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves . He was drafted 17th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 NBA draft but was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans .

He played basketball for Vaughan Secondary School, St. Louis Christian Academy, and Hamilton Heights Christian Academy. He played college basketball for Virginia Tech University .

He competed for Canada at the 2016 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, leading the team to the silver medal. His Instagram account nickeilaw has gained over 150,000 followers.

He is the son of Nikki Alexander. His cousin is basketball player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander .

On February 9, 2023, he and Mike Conley Jr. were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
