ABOUT NICOLAAS DOUWMA
DJ and music producer best known as Sub Focus. His albums include 2009's Sub Focus, 2013's Torus, 2020's Portals with U.K. artist Wilkinson, and 2023's Evolve. In 2005, he had a number-one single on the UK Dance Chart with "X-Ray / Scarecrow."
He started a band at school with his friends. At 13, he started producing electronic music.
In 2003, he signed to label Ram Records. He joined the band Pendulum on tour, performed at Glastonbury, and sold out O2 Academy Brixton in London.
He is from Scotland.
His influences include The Prodigy , The Chemical Brothers, M-Beat, and General Levy .
