ABOUT NIKOLAI DEMIDENKO
Classical musician who won the 1992 concerto Gramophone Award for his recording of the Medtner Piano Concertos No. 2 and 3.
He medaled in the 1976 Montreal International Piano Competition and the 1978 Tchaikovsky International Competition.
He advocated the works of neglected composers like Muzio Clementi , Nikolai Medtner , Carl Maria von Webe .
His family was residing in Aniskino when he was born in Soviet-controlled Russia.
He became a resident at the Yehudi Menuhin School in 1990.
