Known for being Asia's wealthiest woman, with a net worth of $4.2 billion. She served as CEO of ChinaChem after her husband's disappearance and helped build the company.

She was dubbed "Little Sweetie" by media and friends.

Her husband's will was contested by his father. Three wills were in circulation, one of which was determined to be forged by Nina. She was arrested, charged, and eventually freed on bail.

In 1955, she married chemical billionaire Teddy Wang, who was kidnapped in 1990. He vanished and was eventually presumed dead. She and Wang met as children.

Forbes magazine noted that her fortune outgrew that of Oprah Winfrey .
